Behavioural Management Course

Designed with Supply Teachers in mind

  • Are you finding classroom behaviour increasingly challenging?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed by disruptive behaviour, leaving less time for teaching?
  • Are certain year groups or schools draining your energy?

If any of these resonate with you, you’re not alone. Many supply teachers face these issues daily, but there is a solution.

Tailored Behaviour Management Training for Supply Teachers

While there are plenty of behaviour management courses available, most don’t address the unique challenges faced by supply teachers. These courses can be expensive, and often focus on generalised strategies that don’t always apply to the supply teaching environment.

At Mana Education, we recognise this gap. That’s why we’ve created a bespoke training course, specifically designed for supply teachers, to equip you with the tools and confidence needed to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

What We Offer:

We’ve partnered with a leading behaviour management specialist (detailed below) to deliver a comprehensive, one-day, classroom-based training session. This course will provide you with fresh insights and strategies, giving you practical tools to tackle classroom behaviour with ease.

By the end of the day, you’ll feel empowered, inspired, and ready to step into your next classroom with renewed confidence.

What does it cost and when is the next course?

This course was designed to offer first-class CPD training for Supply Teachers and Support Staff, prioritising their professional growth over business profits. We cannot emphasise enough the critical role of behaviour management in ensuring teachers' safety and creating a more positive environment than what is often seen in many UK schools. As such, we offer this course at a cost to the business, aiming to make it accessible to as many Teachers and Support Staff as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to invest in your professional development at a significantly reduced cost.

Meet Our Course Trainer: Steve Russell

Over 30 years of expertise in classroom behaviour

Steve Russell brings over 30 years of experience working with schools, local authorities, and education professionals to improve understanding of children’s and young people’s behaviour. His work focuses on empowering educators to make positive changes, increasing both their effectiveness and well-being, which in turn benefits the pupils they work with.

Steve has a particular passion for demystifying Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMHN). This growing area presents challenges for school staff, both in managing these needs and dealing with the emotional labour involved. His ‘Behaviour Wall’ resource is a powerful tool for understanding the connection between attachment, self-esteem, and behaviour.

Drawing from Transactional Analysis, Steve provides insights into how adults can reduce their reactive tendencies and improve their response-ability in the classroom. His coaching-based approach ensures that training is tailored to your specific context, making it both relevant and transformative.
