Mana Education is working with schools across Northampton and Northamptonshire to recruit experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants who want to help every child reach their potential.

We offer a variety of roles across both primary and secondary settings – from daily supply to long-term or permanent assignments.


🌈 About the Role

As a SEND / SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech or sensory challenges.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping pupils access learning in a supportive way.
  • Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to deliver effective interventions.
  • Promote inclusion and help pupils develop confidence, independence and emotional regulation.
  • Foster a safe, caring and engaging classroom environment.

🎓  About You

We welcome applications from candidates with experience in special education or relevant qualifications such as:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools
  • Experience supporting children with SEN or SEMH in a school setting
  • Additional training such as Team Teach, PECS, Makaton or Autism Awareness (preferred)

You’ll need to be caring, patient, resilient and genuinely passionate about improving outcomes for children with SEND.
