ABOUT THE D&T DEPARTMENT WITHIN THE COLLEGE:

At Key Stage 3, students study on a rotational basis and cover all aspects of design as well as engineering. Students gain exposure to product design, materials, graphics, textiles and food. The holistic curriculum allows younger students to explore and develop according to their talents, and interests and prepares them well for the next stage of learning at Key Stage 4.

As a department, we aim to be dynamic and forward thinking in our approach. All of our lessons are tailored to the needs of our groups and are engaging, thought provoking and challenging. The department is well-resourced with digital projectors, a cooking room, a textiles room and two workshops.
