English Teacher

JOB SUMMARY:
Mana Education is looking to recruit a Teacher of English on behalf of a successful Academy in North Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate who will be joining a friendly and welcoming environment, where the SLT make a positive contribution and where standards are high. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher of English with experience of teaching English to GCSE. Experience of teaching A Level would be advantageous but not essential. The successful candidate would start in April 2015.

We are looking for a Qualified Teacher who has excellent subject knowledge of English with experience of teaching other subjects in the English Curriculum. The Academy welcomes full and part-time applicants.

The school is recognised as a successful school in the locality, resulting in it being significantly oversubscribed and popular with parents. Do you want to work in an ambitious and forward thinking Academy? Many of our teachers have started here on a supply basis, and subsequently been offered permanent roles.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING RELEVANT TO THE JOB

*Good understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning.
*Thorough knowledge of the English National Curriculum
*Good English subject knowledge
