JOB SUMMARY:
Mana Education is working with a school to help them find an RE Teacher to start after Easter 2015. The role will last until the end of the academic year, and could become permanent for the right candidate.

The school are ideally looking for someone that trained to teach Religious Education, Religious Studies or Humanities with a focus on RE. The ability to teach to A Level would be ideal, although anyone who has taught RE to GCSE is encouraged to apply.

THE SCHOOL:
The school is an upper school located in a beautiful town in North Northamptonshire. The school serves a large rural catchment area; the school draws its students from the two main local towns, as well as a number of local villages.

RE is taught at KS3, KS4 and KS5 in the school. KS3 students are encouraged to include investigation, expression, interpretation as well as other skills they will learn on the course. Both full courses and short courses are offered to students at KS4. KS5 student are taught Philosophy of Religion and Religious Ethics as well as other aspects of the course. A2 aspects of the course include meta-ethics, freewill and determinism, conscience, sexual ethics as well as environmental and business ethics. The school is passionate about learning, achievement and providing a wide range of experiences for young people to prepare them for the world beyond school.

The school accepts student into Year 9 offering a large and varied curriculum. Both GCSE and BTEC courses are offered in Years 10 and 11 as well as good range of vocational courses delivered in association with local colleges.
