Tutor in Construction
3 full time posts available (Joinery/Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, Mixed Construction)

We are looking for a passionate and engaging Tutor to deliver the City & Guilds Level 1 and 2 Diploma in Construction.
The Tutor will be required to teach the City & Guilds Award/Diploma in Level 1 and 2 - Construction. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a flexible and can do approach. This is a varied and rewarding position, which would suit a candidate who has experience in delivering motivating and engaging hands-on Building Maintenance lessons -theoretical and practical.
Our client is looking for three Tutors as follows:
- Joinery/Carpentry
- Painting & Decorating
- Mixed Construction/Multi Trades.
The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.
As a successful candidate you will have:
*Held a vocational qualification (Level 2 or above).
*Held a recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PTLLS, Cert Ed or similar equivalent).
*Held relevant assessor/verifier awards. (Desirable)
*Teaching/Training or vocational experience in a relevant discipline/subject area and relevant up-to-date knowledge.
*The ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
*Happy to work in challenging environments.
*Security clearance check preferable but not essential.
*Good IT skills and willing to develop further.
*The ability to show accuracy and precision in written presentation.
*A recognised trade qualification and will be qualified to a least Level 2.
*Proven relative experience of working in the Construction sector is essential for this role and candidates will also need to have excellent time management and communication skills.
