The Academy is part of a successful network of schools that strives towards academic excellence and achievement. The academy wants each student to succeed; to gain the best possible qualifications and for all to become confident and thoughtful young people.

The curriculum offers a broad and balanced range of subjects designed to support both personal and academic skill development. The Academy offer Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

The Academy day is divided into six 55 minute lessons, with a timetabled 20 minute breakfast break and a 30 minute lunch break.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING RELEVANT TO THE JOB
*Good understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning.
*Thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum
*Excellent subject knowledge
*Be committed to the education of every child and be able to drive up standards.
*Be energetic, creative and positive.
*Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or similar qualifications, Teaching Experience in the UK of at least 6 months. Applications from experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers welcomed.
