Maths Teacher
*To participate in the development of appropriate syllabuses, materials and schemes of work.
*To plan lessons, create resources, teach, and review the process, in order to encourage students to achieve their potential
*To set suitable targets/give constructive advice on how students can progress.
*To participate in examination duties, eg the setting and marking of examination coursework, in line with deadlines, following examination board guidelines.
*To celebrate achievement in line with faculty policy.
*To support the ethos of the school.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING RELEVANT TO THE JOB
GENERAL DUTIES
*To set homework regularly.
*To mark class work and homework regularly, (and assessments when appropriate, according to faculty deadlines), and record the progress in order to provide oral and written assessments and reports.
*To maintain good discipline within teaching groups and support the Head of Maths by implementing the faculty discipline policy.
*To co-ordinate attractive displays in the Maths classroom.
*To support the Head of Maths in maintaining faculty equipment/resources.
*To be a tutor of an assigned tutor group and to carry out related duties.
*To carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with published schedules.
*To participate in appropriate curriculum, pastoral or administrative meetings with colleagues, students and parents.
*To participate in professional development and training.
*Other duties as requested by the Principal from time to time

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or similar qualifications, Teaching Experience in the UK of at least 6 months. Experience and Newly Qualified.
