Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
Contract: Full-Time - Permanent or Temp-to-Perm (60% role with flexibility)
Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 + TLR 2B
Start: September 2026

About the Role
We are inviting applications for a dedicated Head of MFL to establish and grow a forward-thinking languages department within a new and ambitious school environment. This leadership post will involve shaping a coherent, rigorous MFL curriculum and embedding language learning as a key component of the school's academic offer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and implementation of an academically robust MFL curriculum.
- Recruit, develop and mentor MFL staff.
- Establish high-quality teaching, assessment and language enrichment.
- Promote cultural awareness through language learning experiences.
- Work collaboratively across the school to support whole-school curriculum vision.
Requirements
- Excellent MFL subject knowledge and teaching experience across KS3/KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Leadership skills with a track record of setting high expectations.
- Ability to build engaging and inclusive language programmes.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and innovation.
