Salary: £32,916 - £51,047 + TLR 2B

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and strategically minded Head of History to establish and lead the History department in a growing secondary school setting. This senior teaching position involves shaping curriculum, fostering a culture of academic excellence, and mentoring staff.
Key Responsibilities
Lead development of a knowledge‑rich History curriculum.
Inspire and manage teaching teams as the department grows.
Ensure high‑quality teaching and learning across all year groups.
Plan assessments, track student progress and adjust strategies.
Build links with the wider school community and stakeholders.
Person Specification
Strong subject knowledge and teaching experience in History.
Leadership experience or potential in curriculum direction.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Commitment to high academic standards and inclusive education.
