We are looking for a passionate and engaging Tutor to deliver the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Building Maintenance (or Construction?) in a School setting, with excellent facilities available on site.

The Tutor will be required to teach the City & Guilds Award/Diploma in Level 2 - Building Maintenance. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a flexible and can do approach. This is a varied and rewarding position, which would suit a candidate who has experience in delivering motivating and engaging hands-on Building Maintenance lessons -theoretical and practical.

The Academy is looking for an experienced Tutor who has experience with Carpentry, Painting & Decorating, and Multi Trades. There are workstations and facilities available on site but students will also have opportunity to go out to 'live' environments to further develop their knowledge and complete more Practical assessments.

The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.

As a successful candidate you will have:

Hold a vocational qualification (Level 3 or above).

Hold a recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PTLLS, Cert Ed or similar equivalent).

Hold relevant assessor/verifier awards. (Desirable)

Have teaching/training or vocational experience in a relevant discipline/subject area and relevant up-to-date knowledge.

Have the ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.

Have good IT skills and willing to develop further.

Show accuracy and precision in written presentation.

Successful candidates will have a recognised trade qualification and will be qualified to a least Level 3.

Proven relative experience of working in the Construction sector is essential for this role and candidates will also need to have excellent time management and communication skills.
