JOB SUMMARY:
Mana Education is working with a school in Cambridgeshire to help them find an exceptional Languages Teacher from December 2014 or sooner. The School are ideally looking for someone that trained to Teach Spanish or French and that has experience of teaching GCSE and or A-level.

The curriculum offers a broad and balanced range of subjects designed to support both personal and academic skill development. The Academy offer Key Stage 3, 4 and 5.

The Academy day is divided into six 55 minute lessons, with a timetabled 20 minute breakfast break and a 30 minute lunch break.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING RELEVANT TO THE JOB
o Good understanding of current best practice in teaching and learning.
o Thorough knowledge of the National Curriculum
o Excellent subject knowledge
o Be committed to the education of every child and be able to drive up standards.
o Be energetic, creative and positive.
o Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Duties include,
o To play a significant role in the quality of provision for teaching and learning
o To develop Raising Achievement Plans
o To work alongside Faculty staff to support individuals transition from "needs improvement" to "good" or from "good" to "outstanding" - as directed by Head of faculty.
o Support QA protocols via review of schemes of work/book scrutiny to identify areas of development.
o Participate in learning walks across the faculty

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE or similar qualifications, Teaching Experience in the UK of at least 6 months. Experience and Newly Qualified.
