We are looking for a passionate and engaging Trainer to deliver the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Services in a School setting, with excellent facilities available on site.
They currently have a vacancy to teach the City & Guilds Award/ Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Services. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a flexible and can do approach. This is a varied and rewarding position, which would suit a candidate who has experience in delivering motivating and engaging hands-on Hospitality and Catering lessons.
It is envisaged that much of the coursework will be based upon practical 'real life' scenarios of being involved in the running of a successful kitchen, and front of house refectory bistro. The academy has brand new kitchen facilities with 12 workstations available to students
The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.
As a successful candidate you will have:
*Held a vocational qualification (Level 3 or above).
*Held a recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PTLLS, Cert Ed or similar equivalent).
*Held relevant assessor/verifier awards. (Desirable)
*Teaching/Training or vocational experience in a relevant discipline/subject area and relevant up-to-date knowledge.
*The ability to teach creatively, adapting to the needs of a variety of learners and willing to explore new teaching and learning strategies.
*Good IT skills and willing to develop further.
*The ability to show accuracy and precision in written presentation.
*A recognised trade qualification and will be qualified to a least Level 3.
*Proven relative experience of working in the Hospitality sector is essential for this role and candidates will also need to have excellent time management and communication skills.
