JOB TITLE: Cover Supervisor

THE ROLE DESCRIPTION
Mana Education is working with secondary schools throughout Peterborough to help them find Cover Supervisors for both full time and part time positions. We are looking for experienced Cover Supervisors as well as those working towards the beginning of their career in education. Graduates who are considering the teaching profession in the future and are looking for experience/work in secondary schools as a Cover Supervisor before applying or starting their PGCE/BA Education are welcome to apply.

MAIN DUTIES
* Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials;
* Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment.
* Preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations;
* Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on site/premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour;
* Support and motivate learners to achieve outputs
* Provide interactive group led sessions
* Covering lessons at KS3 &KS4
* Enhance own knowledge of courses by undertaking training and previewing courses as required
* Covering additional tutor support as and when required
