Maths Teacher
Mana Education is currently seeking qualified (QTS) Maths Teachers to meet the increasing demands of an OUTSTANDING Grammar School in Lincolnshire.

One of our schools in Lincolnshire has requested a Maths Specialists' to start in January on a Long Term basis, where they will be required to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are looking to recruit Teachers with extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum, both experienced teachers and NQT's are welcome to apply. There is the possibility that the post may be extended and become a Permanent role -as ideally the School is looking for a new Maths Teacher from September 2015 as well. The school is also will to accept an exceptional NQT and will fully support them through their Induction Year.

The post arises as a consequence of the School's expansion. Following the appointment the Mathematics Department will comprise of seven full-time specialist Mathematicians, along with the Headteacher, Deputy Head and Head of Sixth Form, who are all teaching members of the Department.

The Mathematics Department has a long and consistent track record of achieving fabulous student outcomes at GCSE, A Level and in Further Mathematics (which has always been strong and popular here). The 2014 results were 67% A*/A at GCSE, 68% A/B at AS, 57% A*-B at A2 and 83% A*/A at A2 Further - amongst our best ever. These standards of attainment bear scrutiny against all other selective schools in the region. The Department was judged 'Outstanding' in its most recent Internal Review.

The Department is a cohesive team of able and committed professionals who enjoy their work and take a collaborative and collegiate approach. They are housed in a new (2004) purpose-built suite of seven spacious classrooms, with each full-time teacher having their own classroom. For a teacher who is enthusiastic about their subject and wishes to develop their pedagogy with keen, well-disciplined students this is a fantastic opportunity.

Mathematics is a very popular subject at A Level, where we offer 3 single Maths sets and an entirely separate Further Maths set in both Years 12 & 13. This is given the full timetable time for two A levels. This year the Year 12 FM set numbers 16 students. At GCSE they offer Statistics as an option subject, with two sets per year, and also offer IGCSE to the top three sets in Year 11. They use the Edexcel linear specifications throughout. At all levels, in recent years, they have celebrated students achieving top ten marks nationally in external exams, and have also qualified for the National Finals of the UKMT Team Challenges at both Junior and Senior levels.

*QTS or a Degree with a strong curriculum based teaching experience, Key Stage 3 - Key Stage 5.
*Experience of Edexcel Syllabus would be advantage
*Good classroom control / behaviour management techniques.
